Users are connected to VPN but cannot access resources

Problem: Users seem to connect to VPN properly and they are getting the host IP address, but they cannot access any shares or any resources on the host server.

Solution:

1. From the Control Panel, goto Network and Sharing Center.
2. Goto Change Adapter settings.

3. Goto Advanced, and select Advanced Settings. (If the Menu bars are not showing, click Organize –> Layout –> Menu Bar)

4. Under Adapters and Bindings tab, Change the order of the Network Adapter in the Connections section. Make sure to put the VPN connection to the top of the list.

5. Click OK.
